The Chinese language has changed over time and is spoken in different dialects. The language originated from the language group known as Sino Tibetan. For an individual who does not work or who has a lot of time on their hands they can practice five or more hours a day and learn the full Chinese language in 88 weeks. It is estimated that one in every seven people on the planet can speak Mandarin. If an individual plans on traveling on vacation to a Chinese speaking country and needs to communicate as a tourist for the purpose of reading location names, street signs, and addresses this individual will only need to learn elementary Mandarin. Individuals who are doing business in China or any Mandarin speaking country they will need to be able to speak on a professional proficiency level. This involves having proper sentence structure and decent vocabulary and is known as middle level Mandarin. Consistent studying along with routine practice can help individuals learn the full Chinese language or what is needed for basic communication.
